Throughout my life, hearing many people pray planted a yearning in my spirit to pray; this has given me a desire to write this book to help others. I am certainly no authority on the inexhaustible subject of prayer. I have a desire to learn more about prayer, and because it is such a blessing in my life, I want to share with others what little bit I have discovered in my prayer life. What I love about prayer is that God gets all glory for earthly victories! When God uses a praying man or woman to have great success, people will say, "But they are praying people," and it takes the limelight off of men and women and puts it where it belongs - on God! If there is no other reason to pray, this is a good one, because we serve a VERY jealous God.

That no flesh should glory in his presence. (I Corinthians 11:29)

I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (Isaiah 42:8)

Exodus 20:5, Deuteronomy 5:9, and II Corinthians 11:3 all remind us that God said, " I am a jealous God!"
